DomZday Eggs & Cholesterol

Wow... First I am surprised that no one (almost no one) made a comment about the reference to eggs in the article on vitamin D...

Luckily, the judicious-half readers of this blog took notes of my discussion with my friend:
I-Believe-In-All-Media-Myths Jones! (nickname... IBIAMMJ)

IBIAMMJ: Hello DomZday!
DomZday: Hello IBIAMMJ.

IBIAMMJ: I have read the article about vitamin D...
DomZday: and...

IBIAMMJ: One question comes to mind... Why are you telling us to eat eggs?
DomZday: 1) they are good for you and 2) they are good for you! J

IBIAMMJ: But you do mean egg whites, right?
DomZday: Nope! I mean the whole egg, just like your grandma used to eat them!

IBIAMMJ:  Well let me tell you, from what I have read, the egg yolk contains high levels of cholesterol and this is not good for you! I say: long live food without cholesterol!
DomZday: Hmmmm <pause>… GOOD. Are you done flashing your anti-fat sign now you Hippie, you?

IBIAMMJ: ??????  what?
DomZday: You know that without cholesterol, you're going to die? That most vitamins found in eggs are in the yolk? That the cholesterol found in eggs is not connected to the cholesterol level found in your blood? Instead, it is found in your processed meals!  The 4 tons of sugar you take per day are highly linked to blood-cholesterol, above and beyond the rest!

Most vitamin D-rich foods are high in cholesterol... coincidence?
Production of vitamin D from the Sun needs cholesterol as a starting point! It isn’t your skin that darkens, absorbing vitamin D, but “good” cholesterol being transformed...

IBIAMMJ: Oh really!? Explain to me how this stuff works?
Seriously, there are a series of studies that follow suit... But me, I only trust Calvin!

Calvin:
·         eat eggs
·         go outside all the time, even in winter
·         be happy, increase vitamin D intake and enjoy a healthy cholesterol level!

That’s it for today... On your mark! Get set! OUTSIDE!

ULTIMATE DIET for man?

Men and women should not address the way they eat the same way.

Women are generally better at counting calories and men are more effective at restricting certain food groups from their diet.

Several researchers support this assertion, and here’s what they did to validate it: what is the Ultimate Diet for men?

Here's what they did.

From morning to about 1 or 2pm, they consumed nothing but a coffee (without sugar).

They also supplemented their diet with branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) throughout the morning – with a specific dosage depending on their bodyweight.

Between 1 and 4pm, they ate a meal composed of salad, proteins (steak, chicken, fish, eggs), balsamic vinegar and good olive oil.

Note – the guinea pigs who were working in the afternoon increased portions of their lunch. For those who were expecting a busy evening, they increased the size of their dinner.

20 minutes before their workout, they took another dose of BCAA.

Dinner was consumed between 6 and 8pm depending on the training program with the goal of having dinner as soon as possible after working out.

Dinner was composed of plenty of proteins, as well as a salad or a dish of sautéed/grilled vegetables.

No solid food was consumed after 8pm.

Between 8pm and bedtime, only sugar and calorie free beverages were permitted.
Before bedtime, another dose of BCAA was consumed and a few other supplements were taken.

The end result: A significant loss of fat without any whining, mood swings or muscle loss!

Kicking the day off on the right foot!

With the end of the challenge approaching, do you still need to lose a few kilos?

Try this...

Tomorrow morning instead of gobbling up a bagel, barter for a little egg with slices of ham or chicken.

According to a bunch of new studies, this protein-rich breakfast will help you manage your hunger while reducing the amount of calories that you will take during the day.

Science Researchers at the University of Connecticut have recognized that adult men who ate eggs for breakfast:
· consumes fewer calories following a breakfast with eggs rather than eating a bagel
· consumed fewer calories during the day after eating a breakfast with eggs rather than eating a bagel
· Reported being less hungry and more satisfied three hours after breakfast with egg rather than eating a bagel

This research builds on earlier work by Mr. Fernandez, who showed how the egg yolk’s cholesterol improves good cholesterol (HDL) levels.
